The Southern Hemisphere has been cooling while the Northern Hemisphere is warming. Since 1980.
Global warming has been stalled for about the last 8 years. Such a long spell of constant or slightly declining temperatures is not predicted by any of the climate models.
So it could be bad data (the ground stations are not well designed or sited), bad models, or we don't understand what is claimed.
BTW some solar scientists are predicting global cooling due to the recent changes in the solar conveyor.
The AGW crowd fixes this by "correcting" their data.
Climate Audit has a lot on all these questions. The "settled" science is very unsettled.
